The mighty 24s trounced D-Unit yesterday in an affair easily described as a right old hammering. Batting first and smelling victory’s waft from the upstairs bar, the 24s put an imposing 50+ run partnership in the first four overs. WMD and Catherine dominated the first quarter and were unlucky not to put on more runs. However, not wanting to break into a sweat and knowing that a post-match fines meeting would suffer from shirt odor, the pair did their best not to overdo it. The game was setup nicely when the remaining pairs managed 70+ runs in the last 12 overs. A good return. However, if the 24s wish to take gold, average partnership totals must exceed 30. However, in the end 121 was enough as the WhoD-Unnit challenge crumbled under brilliant bowling from Sarah, Cathy and Angela and expert fielding from Wall, Bundes and Nagmeto. Mark must be congratulated on lifting his fielding to new heights for the fixture. It seems his time on the bench has been well spent.

Festivities continued into the night post game as the 24s celebrated yet another victory, which now places them at the top of the food chain with Flexi-Cell, a outfit that comprises no less than three deep fry grillers and two Fast food waiters, a talented bunch it must be said.
Half-way season awards were later distributed at a glittering gala event hosted by K-Fed, husband of white “outdoor utility vehicle” lady, Britney Spears:
