It was with a heavy hand that I write this ode to the game that in the end proved to be the greatest test of 24s team spirit. The 24s showed signs of brilliance in snippets during the game; however, lack of experience and BMT proved to be the killer blow for this team. Sindlers were an average side with one star batter, Angelo. This Supa Sta took 1 wicket and made 7 run outs in the night in what proved to be the game breaker. Again notable performances from Aiko and Kenny boy up front in the batting, ably supported by Rocket Arm Scott and "Supa dupa play threw the pain bring home the bacon" Suze revealed an as yet untapped pool of talent. However, this pool seems deep and it will take time to bring it all together. In the end the spirit was not broken, the faces smiled and a couple of IT guys cried (ok and a couple of off field analysts), but hey, next week were gonna kill things and make them eat fake green turf. P.S If anybody from the Cricket Umpires Association of South Africa is out there wondering were the next Koertzen or Hare will come from...dont worry he didnt ump this game.
