Spartans pre-season training and New recruits

Spartan fans are drooling at the prospect of seeing their heroes in action again after a 3 month furlow. The team has taken the opportunity to recharge the batterries and steel themselves for what ought to be a titanic new season. Fans have been clammering to this site in particular to gather news on the new players and for the first time the red24 Spartans will release the names of the new signings, they are, in no particular order:

Pam 'the chirp' Stewart
Pam began her proffessional career as a bat for hire on the dusty streets of New Delhi, India. She soon earned a reputation as a ruthless slogger with a great feel for bounce of the springy Delhi Delivery. She played alongside other action cricket greats such as Dali Lama, Genghis Slip and Myfatt Finger. She joins the Spartans for a staggering R2.05 transfer fee. Welcome to the team.

JP "TBA" van der Merwe

Described by Action cricket great, Rob, as the new find for a new generation, JP has played most of his cricket in the undergound leagues of Grassy Park. His brazen batting and swinger like fast balls have earned him the reputation as a no bull bucking bronco. He joins the Spartans on a free transfer and will be paid in beer.

David "the Slovak" Jakuboci

The Slovak is known to his home boys as crazy deuce. We dont know why. His talent for slogging and playing across the line will be a benefit to the team keen to eradicate in-fielders.

Julie "Peaches" Frey

Julie joins the team as an amateur, having previously played the sport of couch sitting. She brings a lot to the new team including an accusatory stare and stern reprimand, sure to strike fear into opposing players. She will be paid in fruit as is custom in her culture.
