Development of Suriname cricket

Rooters- In an attempt to globalise the global game 24s team mates Angela and Cath travelled to the distant 3rd world state of Suriname (country page to follow Nic?) in South America to launch a cricket programme entitled "Cricket for Cannibals." Angela said it was "wonderful to see the spirit of these man eating batspeople." Cath said it was an opportunity to see "tribes people in action." All in attendance, including this reporter, were not suprised how the local Surinamese cannibals took to the game. It was only a pity that the locals misinterpreted law 34 of cricket that strictly disallows the eating of men you get out. After a great days cricket local hero Javapur Tendonitis was declared man of the match ...and eaten. Glen commenting on this initiative said "human flesh is like hot pies, nice until the hair gets in it." Glen is still recovering in hospital. end item
