New Season Legion Fans!

Sapa - A new season of international club indoor football began last night as the reigning league champions and self-proclaimed "greatest team in the galaxy" took on a feisty and determined Fanatics outfit led by Roger Andom. The Legion started the game without star playmaker and "finder of lost children" Yoshiya Sato, ace striker and ace dube fanatic Andy Westerwood and solid as a rock nimble as an elephant Ken. Despite the absence of these regular Legion stalwarts, the greatest captain in the world, Andre, the greatest keeper in the world, Rob, the greatest acer in the world, Duke burger, the greatest back heeler in the world, Deano and the greatest debutant in the world, Eugene "I cant go on" Katter where all on display for the hordes of spectators who arrived at the stadium of light on a humid and stinky night.

The first half was a too and fro battle characterised by too many errors and weird looking afros. Fitness worries were not a concern as no one was fit. Going into the break the Legion held on to a comfortable 1-0 lead. The half time break brought a fresh approach to the game with the Legion spreading the ball well and counter attacking with purpose; however, while the attacking flare brought an additional 3 goals, the defence was left bare at times and Legion conceded two despite the best efforts of the greatest lasagne eater and keeper of all times, Rob. The final score, 4-2, was a good reflection of a game that cost the Legion 34 litres of body fluid.
