History of cricket: Volume I

Day 1:
Cricket was invented in 1458 by the Spanish conquistadors and a Nepalese Sherper named Midoff. They brought the game of cricket, known as, la suvet batista ball, to the Americas where the game quickly spread (with the cholera and other infectious diseases) to the natives, pictured here. The game gained in popularity and spread to the USA where it challenged the popular "Hunt Down the Mexican Border Crosser Game" in Texas -knowns as Taco Run. The coutnry was divided and eventually a civil war broke out. The north won and Taco Run was doomed. So was cricket though, because it took 5 days to finish - so baseball was invented by the Canadians. Today Americans play wrestling and choose a world champion amongst a select group of North Carolina beef eaters.

Day 2:
In 1894 the ICC decided to spread the game to the Carribean and for the first time men were allowed to play the game. They decided to play it on the beach, because that made sense and thats where all the hot chix were. It soon became evident however that the chix did not dig it becuase the players blocked the sun, an important ingredient (with alcohol) in the advancement of black skineration (or the tan). The game began to flag and the fast bowlers of the West Indies turned to crime and basketball. Something needed to be done, so Shane Warne was invented to spruce up the flagging ticket sales.

Day 3:

Shane Warne revolutionised cricket and made it acceptable to fart, grunt and indulge in pies during a fixture. He also invented the fivefer and the tenfer and made cricket look easy. Ask Darryl. Shane brought the game out of the West Indies and to Australia where the game boomed. No one else was allowed to play cricket over xmas except in Aussie and the Aussies invented umpires like Darryl Hair to fix games and to make sure that chukkas like Murali couldnt play. Brett Lee and Glen McGrath were allowed to though because they didnt have Pakistani ancestry. In 1989 Australia decided to end its isolation and include other countires in the World Series the only cricket tournament in the world. In the 1990 World Series Australia invited the West Indies and New Zealand to Australia to beat them. They did.
