A high octane crazy mad game last night between Tastic 8 and the24s droft up some amazing scenes for the capacity crowd at the Stadium on Main Action arena. Both teams came out with something to prove in this crucial second round game. Tensions were heightened well before the toss when Super-Subway and As-if alleged that Rob had manhandled their little brother Wasit? with his stinky soccer gloves. The ill-tempered match descended into an all out slug fest when the24s decided to bat first and were confronted by negative, bordering on blatant cheating, bowling by the Tastic team. As early as the third ball of the innings the Tastic bowlers were showing scant regard for the spirit of the game by bowling consistently above the waistline thus negating any decisive shot making. The Tastic team would later rue there choice of tactic, however. The opening pair of WMD and TNT faired poorly garnering a meagre 23 runs for the first partnership. The partnership never really got going and it was up to the remaining forces to compile a total that the24s could feel confident about chasing. Wall and Trinity did very well in their batting partnerhip securing a well worked 35 run partnership to regenerate the innings. Trins batting performance was one of her better ones in recent times and much was owed to her knew 'chill :) out' cricket philosophy. The third pair of Nick and Sarah delivered a modest performance and once again the bowling tactics and negative field placing by the opposition negated good cricket on the evening. The turning point of the game surely came with the reigniting of Too Cools fire (pictured here-top left). Facing a barrage of beamers the car pool wonder kids demeanour and manner changed from well meaning vegetarian to all out crazy mad guy. The Tastic team would rue these moves during their innings. The24s ended their 16 overs on 99, leaving Tastic a very gettable 100 to win. Andre has hairy toes.

Intensity was defined on the night by the24s fielding and bowling performance. Knowing that they would face the wrath of the WMD and Too Cool later in the evening the opening Tastic pair quickly posted 44 for the first wicket. However, this promising start amounted to nothing more than a comparison to the career of Robin Peterson, it was a non-starter. Facing a barrage of pacey, full pitched deliveries and elegantly flighted under arm throws the Tastic team fell apart in the middle overs leaving the final pair with a challenging 25 to get off 24 balls. Even this gettable total was to much for the little blue Tastic boys and girls who learnt in the end that if you want to play with the big people please bring your best game. Final score, the24s demolish Tastic by 17 runs and take an unbeaten record into their next fixture against the evil Sithlers. This is Snoek bottervinger reporting live from action stadium on main.
