Rooters - Well, it appened again. We thought we were playing Nova and the evil Action administration foiled our attempts at glory by changing our fixture again. This time we were up against Jack and Jill. Imagine our surprise. Well the game started well with the 24s fielding first and restricting the veteran team to 67 in 12 overs; however, 24s luck as it is at the moment…non-existent, soon ran out and in the last 4 overs Jack and Jiggo decided to play some cricket and massacred the bowlers for 38. Yet few would bet against the 24s reaching 106 for victory and who could doubt them after the Silver Fox (bruises an' all) and WMD posted 40 runs in the first four overs. The game turned between overs 5 and 12 when the freshman team was restricted to a paltry 30 odd runs. Greasy J, TNT, M.o.M and Crouching Tiger were unable to add a base for Captain Action and Trinity who were left wondering how in the name of f...CENSORED...so i.. CENSORED..sick..CENSORED..whoops..CENSORED…, well theres always next time.
Good first time perfromance from Jerry (greasy J) and a welcome return for Cath (TNT) bode well for the next fixture. Unfortunately WMD will be sidelined for 2-3 weeks with a severe ankle strain. Grant is set for a massive comeback following his tour on the sub continent with the Lift Club XI. end item
